Open Door Policy for Inspiration…

A few mornings ago I had a cold visit for “franchising” our business. (Immediate reaction: What in the world?) I gave the gentleman 2 minutes to present his case.

120 seconds… (Get me interested or get the hell out of my office…)

I listened and turned him down. So WHY even entertain the visit in the first place?

FRANKLY, I was hoping to be inspired, to learn something new.

It didn’t happen, but being prepared to be inspired can be the necessary preamble to actually being inspired…

TRY THIS: Instead of “pre-judging” the outcome of your next conflict, decision, or idea FORCE yourself listen and learn something. Be prepared to be amazed!

(I keep a MoleSkine® notepad with me to take notes on important parts of conversations or snippets of inspiration.)
