Tour de Flooring… (i.e. a sore winner)
Right now in France, a few hundred bicyclists are fighting to wear a yellow jersey as the penultimate champion of days of stages of racing.
DAYS of racing…
Ever hear that old saying that “nothing worth having is easy to get”… In high school sports we were told that “No Pain, No Gain”…
So I get what they were saying… I finished installing wood floors in my oldest son’s room a few weeks ago… and my knees are still killing me!
I did the edge molding and the intricate edge-work inside his closet and around the entrance to the room — ALL ON MY KNEES…
That hurts… (I think they sell professional knee pads for this type of work…)
BUT… when the flooring was done, the room looked great! (and now B-Man can spill juice to his heart’s content…)
Playing to Win is an amazing aspiration for any effort in which we expend our energy. JUST don’t imagine for a second that such a mindset is FREE!
NOTE: Of course, being a SORE winner is always preferred over being a SORE loser! In case, that part wasn’t clear
