The "Act As If' or "Fake it til you Make it" model has been around for a very long time and is still heavily in use in many circles. The concept is if you at least think and act successfully you will become successful, you will have "brainwashed" yourself into becoming what you envision for yourself. Many motivational and self-help experts utilize some form of this in their training techiniques. -The Basketeere

I could not agree with you more! If people really were to be transparent, then, yes, they'd reveal what they're really thinking and feeling in any given situation. I don't need transparent. I *do* need and give honesty...which is more than I can say about my "ex!"If transparency is equated with honesty and accountability, as it should be IMO, there'd be no questions, doubts, mistrust, disappointment, anger, etc., etc. On the flip side, if investors held the people they've given money to delivering regular reports of how and where their money is going, they'd avoid those unpleasant surprises down the road.Otherwise, I don't care if the CEO of a company I do business with is into free diving, has two chocolate Labs, and cultivates heirloom tomatoes and champagne grapes.
