Making Money Is the Wrong Goal.

You making more money is the wrong goal for your business. It’s the wrong focus. And over the long run always seems to backfire.

  • It leads to hurting people.
  • It leads to short-term strategic blunders.
  • It leads to selfish behavior.

Even though the experts would like you to believe that “just making more money” solves all your problems, nothing could be futher from the truth.  More money isn’t the right strategy for your business.  It isn’t.

For at least one big, inescapable reason.

Money by itself is worthless. It’s just a means of exchange. That’s all.

It enables you to do things that make you happy (sometimes), but it’s not happiness itself.

Contrary to what you might have thought, researchers tell us that making much more than $70,000 to $80,000 a year does not lead to any more happiness.  In fact, the odds of stress and medical conditions like high cholesterol actually increase.

So just doing it for the money is the wrong approach.  You could call it down right dangerous.

There has to be a mission. There has to be a higher calling.

Otherwise money by itself is just a distraction.  It’s a crippling perspective.

Your obsession with money is why your business is broken.

Over the last few years as business has gotten a little bit harder we’ve made it our first priority to “get ours” first.

You’ve heard all the webinars about how to make more money by doing less.  You’ve seen the ebooks about how to make money while you’re sleeping.

Somehow we lost focus on what is important in business — changing the world.  Making a difference.

Not making more money.

Is it any wonder why we can’t seem to shake a bad economy?  Why, despite all our experts and free ebooks, that we can’t seem to improve our lives?

It’s because making money is the wrong goal.

We used to know better.  We used to dream dreams.

Maybe it’s time to go find our way back there.

And live a life that’s focused on being amazing.

The money will follow.
