Put Down Your Torch.

There’s no need to burn bridges. Ever.

The bridge might be crumbling. The foundation week. It might be built on unstable ground.

But burning the bridge doesn’t make your journey to the other side any easier.

You’ll have to build a different bridge. Or go a different direction.

Forget about moving across. You’re limited now.

What you had might have been ugly, but it was an option. A path forward.

No one one made you travel across the bridge. Or even consider it an option for getting to where you want to be.

But burning it down isn’t just unnecessary — it’s foolish.

When troubled waters rise, you need as many options as possible to help get you to where you want to be.

Think about that the next time you start lighting torches.

Burning the bridge won’t solve your problem.
