There’s always another side of the story. There’s always another angle.
There is always someone else with another opinion.
You might think that your message is black-and-white, but it’s probably pretty gray to everyone else around you.
The truth about life is that your personal experiences and life choices color everything that you look at.
There aren’t many easy choices.
Which is why it can be hard to figure out how to package your message so that the greatest number of people side with you. Believe you. Invest in your perspective.
That’s hard because people change their mind.
They don’t stay the same. They change.
Even if they believe something one day, they might look at life differently the next day.
So what can you do? How do you deliver a message when you’re not sure how other people will think of you?
Spend less time on the angles.
Spend more time being inspired by what you’re trying to do.
Angles get old. It’s tedious for those around you to endure your ever changing manipulation.
Just believe in something and start leading the way.
People will follow you. And those who won’t follow probably wouldn’t ever follow you anyways.
Be memorable. And unexpectedly delightful. Be informed and strategic.
That works better than angles.
Most importantly, just get busy doing something outrageously awesome.
There’s nothing gray about that. Ever.
