What No One Tells You About Being Amazing.

To be successful, you have to live life on your own terms. You have to do your own thing, your own way. You can take inspiration from others, but you can’t copy the life they are living. You can take criticism and feedback from those around you, but you’ll never be happy if you try to mimic what makes other people happy.

They are them. You are you. It doesn’t make any sense to try to be them.

You’ll never be happy pretending to be somebody else.

You’ll never feel fulfilled and satisfied when you stop to get permission to live the life you dream about. You have to do what is best for you.

But that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.

Usually, doing the right thing is the hardest thing to do. That’s how it is.

It sounds like a great idea to do your own thing — until you start living life on your own terms, and you find that not everyone likes you that way.

That’s when you realize how hard it really is.

Your friends aren’t so friendly anymore when you stop caring what they think about you. Your enemies decide to make your life a little more miserable when you stop listening to their hate.

It’s easier to go along with the pressure you feel on you rather then going your own way. Everything is a bit more difficult when you have to think for yourself.

You have to angst over the tiniest of decisions. Even then, it will feel like you’re doing something wrong.

You won’t be winning anyone else’s trophies any time soon.

Even when you get it right, those around you will call you “lucky”. They will pretend like it was their idea and rewrite history on what they thought about you before.

You’ll fail more times than you’re going to win. You’re going to feel like what you’re doing isn’t going to end up working.

That’s the reality of living life on your own terms.

It’s not about you being unteachable, arrogant, or out to “get yours first”.

Being amazing is about making difficult choices and doing what’s hard.

Its a test of what you believe in.

Living life on your own terms is incomparable more difficult then just going along with the flow and leaving no ripples.

But if you want to change the world — if you want to do something that truly matters — you’re going to have to live life for yourself.

You are going to have to think for yourself. Fight for yourself. And that’s just about the hardest thing in the world to do day by day.

But it’s worth it — especially when you end up where you wanna be.

Go be the person you’ve always wanted to be. Who cares would anyone else says you should be doing.
