If You’re Not Fit Your Dream Will Die.

Being successful demands you staying in top physical form. You don’t have to be an Olympic athlete to appreciate the fact that your body takes a beating in your quest to achieve the results you want for you.

Whether you are a school teacher who needs inspired focus to mold minds, a business executive making nonstop sales calls or a mom with a 2 year old who needs constant attention, you have to take care of yourself, or you won’t have enough staying power to get to where you want to be.

If you’re not fit, your dream will die.

You will find yourself sluggish instead of focused. You’ll won’t have the energy to listen and be as creative as you need to be.

From time to time when you need to put in extra hours, you’ll find yourself weak and dizzy and fatigued.

Which is why being physically fit matters. Your goals may not require you being like the Spartans of old who lived in peak fighting shape from an early age. But being fit will make you better at whatever you’re trying to do.

If you’re not fit, your dream will die.

Numerous studies show that physical exercise reduces stress and sharpens your thinking. Like meditation, being alone — where you’re not thinking of anything else but sweating it out — is an investment that makes you better at achieving your goals.

That can sound counter intuitive if you’re someone who has already reached their limit and doesn’t have any more time for things that aren’t important.

You might be thinking that you would be more fit if you had more time. Make time.

If you’re not fit, your dream will die.

Maybe it’s 30 minutes a day of walking during your lunch hour. Maybe you’re a person who likes to get up early in the morning — use that time to take a jog or do some light exercises then.

What about taking a quick 20 minute break to meditate or do some yoga exercises right in the crunch time of the day when you’re starting to feel tapped out?

Taking a timeout to sweat it out is one of the best ways for you to stay in peak performance.

If you’re not fit, your dream will die.

Being fit isn’t about you getting six-pack-abs or losing 50 pounds by bikini season. This is about developing the mindset of a champion.

Activity combats fear head on. Time away from your problems gives you a different perspective. Deliberately developing positive thoughts makes you a better version of you.

Which is why being physically fit matters — if you’re not fit, your dream will die.
