“Everything EDGY” — August 16th

Every week we find edgyness all around us — ordinary people (or companies) achieving outrageous success. We write about it. Speak about it. And travel the globe advising leaders how to leverage the ideas around it to drive results.

Instead of just writing articles with ideas about what ways for you to be a superstar, I thought it might be a good idea to share examples of edgy — Great tools, neat technology, awesome processes, ideas and images that inspire us.

That’s what I’ll be sharing here each Saturday morning — a few edgy ideas worth checking out.

Today — I will keep it short. Here are a few cool technologies that are doing things differently,  Check them out. Take inspiration.

  • Chocri — Design for your sweettooth. Send epic gifts. Chocri brings the “build your own pizza” format to chocolate.  It’s all online — and easy to do.  You simply pick types and  your favorite toppings — and magical confection is shipped to your doorstep.
  • GutCheck — Get a second opinion for your opinion.  And get it cheap.  GutCheck provide focus panels and marketing research. Instead of the old school way of getting everyone in a room and handing out clip boards, this team and technology reduces the speed and cost of that process by 90%.
  • Etching Expressions — Hand made by skilled artisans, custom etched wine bottles from Etching Expressions are truly one of a kind works of art. Put your logo on it and give it away as a “Thank You”. Talk about edgy. What an epic gift.
  • MyKea — Any company with a tagline of: “Say NO to naked furniture” deserves a marketing award. MyKea came up with the idea to make Ikea furniture more beautiful and unique. Their cool stickers turn boring into brilliant.

That’s everything that’s edgy in our universe for today. See you next week for more.
