Hiding Won’t Make The Scary Stuff Go Away.

What are you fighting for right now? Are you fighting to be right? Are you fighting to get rich? Are you fighting to be heard? Are you fighting to get promoted?

Are you fighting to have followers? Are you fighting to lose weight? Are you fighting to get out of debt? Are you fighting to get out of trouble?

Are you fighting to get revenge?

Are you even fighting at all?

It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that if you don’t put up a fight, life will leave you alone. Bad times will go pick on somebody else.

But that’s just not reality. You don’t get a chance to catch your breath sometimes. You don’t get a chance to head down your path without having obstacles in your way.

The truth about getting in the fight is that you’re never as ready as you want to be.

You’re never as tough as you need to be. You are never as brave or bold or confident as you feel you should be.

But that’s not a good excuse for giving up.

That’s not a good enough reason for not fighting.

To be successful, you have to try more, care more, stay focused and be determined.

It doesn’t matter what you’re fighting for. You might look back and realize that what you were fighting so hard to achieve isn’t really what you wanted after all. But you don’t find that out unless you put yourself into the fight.

You don’t get a chance to improve — to learn new skills — unless you stick your neck out and care a little bit more about winning then hoping you get lucky and nothing bad happens for a while.

So go out there and fight for something.

What it is doesn’t really matter. What does matter is that you invest enough emotion and motion in getting to where you want to be.

No one can stop you if you refuse to quit.
