You know you want to change. You know you want to be better. You know that you want the rewards of a life lived epically.
But getting started, making changes, and evolving into the type of person who is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that level of success, can seem scary and wildly intimidating.
You can’t help others be awesome when you yourself are unwilling to be honest about the things that you are struggling with. The fear you have of failure. The worry and concern that drive you to back down, slow down, and quit before you get started.
That’s real and raw. For all of us.
It’s easy to pretend like successful people get that way simply because they have more money or talent or time that the rest of us do not have.
But that’s just not the truth. That’s just an excuse your brain is telling you so that you won’t put yourself in the position to feel more pain or have to endure more fear.
Right now — in this very moment — you have everything you need already to be successful.
- You have the curiosity to learn what you do not know.
- You have the persistence to try new things until you figure it out.
- You have the focus to doggedly pursue better outcomes.
You might feel like you don’t have enough money or enough experience, or enough of the right connections or skills — but that’s true for everyone. That’s the case for every successful person. For every awesome accomplishment.
You never have enough. You never feel like you are enough. Doubt is universal. Worry is universal. Fear is universal.
The one superpower you have is action.
Activity is the antidote to feeling inadequate.
“WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW, YOU CAN LEARN. WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE, YOU CAN EARN. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE, YOU CAN BECOME.”
But not unless you’re willing to take action. To take that first step. To begin the process.
Anyone can be awesome. Anyone willing to take that first step.
